The department is delighted to welcome Omar M. Yaghi, formerly a professor at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Professor Yaghi earned his Ph.D. from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and did postdoctoral work at Harvard. His research includes work on metal-organic frameworks, MOFs, which are potential materials for hydrogen and methane storage as well as a variety of other uses. Professor Yaghi joins the Inorganic Chemistry Division.
