    Erin Broderick has joined the chemistry and biochemistry department of UCLA after graduating with a B.S. from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. At U of I, Erin did 3 years of undergraduate research for Professor Eric Oldfield synthesizing new bisphosphonate compounds as anti-cancer and anti-parasitic agents.Erin is investigating the use of cerium complexes as polyester copolymerization catalyst in an effort to create new biodegradable materials.
